Key Responsibilities

As our Hospital Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the business activities of our hospital, ensuring that we're running efficiently and effectively. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Client Relations: Promoting a client-centered environment, resolving client problems, and maintaining our practice philosophy for attracting and retaining clients.
  • Human Resources: Planning and organizing personnel activities, developing and updating employee handbooks, scheduling staff, and providing training and support.
  • Finance and Accounting: Working with our accountant to prepare budgets and financial statements, reviewing key performance indicators, and supervising the usage of our practice software.
  • Hospital Facility: Maintaining our hospital's facilities and equipment, developing safety and security regulations, and ensuring compliance with medical standards.
  • Marketing: Initiating new programs, promoting internal marketing initiatives, and maintaining effective advertising campaigns.
  • Leadership: Communicating objectives, motivating staff, building morale, and maintaining our core values and standards.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed as our Hospital Manager, you'll need:

  • A minimum of three years of experience working in a veterinary practice, or proven results from other business environments.
  • Demonstrated competence in budgeting, financial reporting, and staff management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and owners.
  • A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • The ability to work flexibly, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications will be highly regarded:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, urgent care environment.
  • Knowledge of veterinary practice management software.
  • Certification in veterinary practice management (e.g., CVPM).
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role.

Work Environment

We'll provide proper protective measures and training to ensure your safety.
