About the Role

As a Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in educating customers about our pet insurance plans, recommending suitable coverage, and enrolling pets in policies. You'll be the face of Chewy's CarePlus, providing top-notch service and support to pet owners across Florida, Texas, and Arizona. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home while making a real impact on the lives of pets and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of Chewy's pet health insurance plans, features, and options to expertly recommend the best coverage for pet parents.
  • Utilize internal and external technologies to provide a seamless customer experience, answering inbound inquiries and making outbound follow-ups.
  • Employ a consultative approach to identify customer needs, recommend suitable insurance plans, and enroll pets in comprehensive coverage.
  • Present the value of our pet insurance policies, highlighting the benefits and addressing customer concerns with empathy and confidence.
  • Meet and exceed enrollment targets and objectives, using creativity and critical thinking to problem-solve and resolve customer issues.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach, offering understanding, active listening, and kindness to customers and team members alike.
  • Accurately enroll pets in policies, ensuring all necessary information is collected and documented.
  • Stay up-to-date with insurance regulations, maintaining required licenses and adhering to industry standards.

Essential Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service conversion-based role, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding conversion targets.
  • Strong consultative conversion skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Property & Casualty Insurance license in your home state (Florida, Texas, or Arizona).
  • Excellent communication skills, with a customer-centric approach and ability to actively listen and understand customer needs.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to shift schedules and work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the insurance industry, particularly pet insurance.
  • Proven track record of quality, productivity, and understanding customer needs.
  • Strong ability to handle objections and turn them into opportunities.
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Training & Support

We're committed to your success! You'll undergo four weeks of virtual training, taking place Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM ET. Our comprehensive training program will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this role.

Technical Requirements

  • Reliable internet connection with at least 30mbps download and 10mbps upload speed.
  • Ability to physically connect a cable between ISP equipment and the work computer.
  • 2+ available connections.
  • Cell phone or tablet for two-factor authentication.
  • Cell phone capable of receiving SMS messages and phone calls.
