Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale data architectures and pipelines to collect, normalize, and analyze data that drives insights and meets reporting needs.
- Create ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database frameworks, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytical processing.
- Collaborate with the data science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes.
- Utilize your expertise in Cloud, Hadoop, and query optimization to build efficient data pipelines.
- Leverage your strong programming skills in Python (or other major languages) to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems.
- Develop data warehouses and data models to support Information Science and other internal clients, ensuring data quality and accessibility standards are met.
- Analyze current technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions.
- Experiment with available tools and advise on new tools to determine the optimal solution based on model/use case requirements.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in Data Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with SQL.
- 5+ years of experience with Python.
- Experience with Cloud-based platforms (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure also considered).
- Strong Communication, Critical Thinking, and Problem-Solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark.
- Experience with Reporting (Tableau).
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry.
