Job Summary and Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality customer service and driving sales growth. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, with a focus on needs identification, problem-solving, and partnering with billing and eligibility specialists
  • Monitoring and resolving delegated customer service issues in a timely and accurate manner
  • Using effective communication techniques to respond to customers, particularly in stressful situations
  • Informing and educating new customers about billing/invoicing setup and billing/payment procedures
  • Placing outgoing phone calls to complete follow-up on customer service requests as necessary

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements and qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (or higher) or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ year of current or previous experience with the UMR Claims Processing System (UMR is a UnitedHealthcare company)
  • 4+ years of combined education, work, and/or volunteer experience
  • Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:00 am - 7:00 pm CST

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and/or medical terminology
  • Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
