Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance data warehouses with minimal risk and optimized total cost of ownership over the system lifetime.
• Lead meetings to understand business requirements and conceptualize the logical organization of data.
• Choose the appropriate physical environment and technical architecture based on requirements and company standards.
• Model the physical organization of data to meet all requirements and performance SLAs.
• Expand, optimize, and tune data schemas, load, and access strategies on an ongoing basis to ensure reduced costs and increased lifespan of a data solution.

Essential Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least seven years of combined experience as an information professional in various roles, including data architect, data engineer, data analyst, and data QA specialist.
• Understanding of the data architecture life cycle and familiarity with at least two data architecture philosophies.
• Ability to gather and report business requirements for the purpose of data design.
• Expertise in SQL.
• Strong foundation in at least two ETL tools and scripting languages (such as PERL or Python).
• Profound knowledge and hands-on experience with at least two database/storage engines of different types (e.g., Oracle RDBMS and Cassandra KVP).
• Active experience with coding server-side processes and data pipelines.
• Superficial knowledge of enterprise architecture to work with Applications, Infrastructure, and Security architects to develop comprehensive solutions.
