We're now seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our remote team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Address Inbound Customer Inquiries: Respond to customer questions and concerns arriving via phone and email, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Own the Customer Interaction: Take ownership of the entire customer interaction, ensuring that their needs are fully met and exceeded.
  • Collaborate with Associates and Partners: Work with other Global Industrial associates, product managers, and partners to gather information, resolve customer needs, and improve processes.
  • Investigate and Resolve Customer Inquiries: Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to orders or shipments, providing order status updates, checking inventory, scheduling returns, and filing shipping claims.
  • Document Interactions: Update systems and document all interactions with customers, associates, and partners.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot problems, handle complaints, and assist with billing inquiries.

Essential Qualifications

  • Previous Customer Service Experience: 2+ years of previous customer service experience in a phone/email contact center.
  • High School Diploma or GED: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong phone contact handling and active listening skills, with excellent written communication and comprehension.
  • Independent Decision-Making: Ability to make independent decisions and handle complex issues.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Windows-based systems, digital soft phones, and CRM systems and practices.

  • Performance-Based Environment: Experience in a performance-based or metric-driven environment.
  • Conversational and Patient Demeanor: Conversational, patient, and confident demeanor with a positive attitude.
