As a Senior Social Media Strategy & Activation Manager III, you'll be an integral part of our dynamic team, helping to shape the future of Disney's paid social media strategy and activation.

The Role: Leading Social Media Strategy & Activation

Reporting to our Manager, you'll lead key segments within our Disney Parks in-house paid Social Media Strategy & Activation team, comprising three talented team members. As a caring and supportive manager, you'll empower your team to grow, innovate, and drive results. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining our current tech partnerships and exploring new, innovative digital platforms to stay ahead of the curve.

Key Responsibilities: Driving Success in Social Media

  • Lead Paid Social Strategy: Develop and execute paid social strategies for key segments within Parks and Resorts, driving business results and maximizing ROI.
  • Improve Dynamic Strategies: Continuously refine and optimize social media strategies to stay ahead of the competition and capitalize on emerging trends.
  • Social Best Practices: Support your team in influencing the organization to adhere to social best practices, ensuring consistency and excellence across all social media channels.
  • Innovation & Testing: Lead conversations to drive innovation across analytics and testing, fostering a culture of experimentation and learning.
  • Platform Tool Expertise: Own key social media activation platform tools, including future partnership additions, and work with teams to identify and design tools to improve efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner across teams, organizations, and companies (media partners and agency) to improve overall technical setup and inter-departmental workflow.

Essential Qualifications & Skills: The Ideal Candidate

  • 7+ Years of Digital Marketing Experience: A proven track record in digital marketing, with a focus on social media and paid advertising.
  • Leadership & Management: Ability to guide direct reports to technical and personal growth, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Social Media Expertise: Extensive experience with social media platforms and related tools, including Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Holistic Business Acumen: Understanding of holistic business trends and the impacts of these trends in the digital and social space.
  • Paid Social Strategy: Strong grasp on how to develop holistic paid social strategies that drive business results.
  • Autonomy & Adaptability: Comfort with a high level of autonomy and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Work Management Platforms: Familiarity with work management platforms such as Workfront, Smart Sheets, etc.

Education & Background: The Ideal Fit

A four-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required. A background in Marketing, Business, Social Media, Analytics, or Statistics is a plus, but not essential. We're looking for talented individuals with a passion for digital marketing and a drive to succeed.
