About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Math Tutor to join our team in San Mateo, CA. As a Math Tutor at Mathnasium of Laurelwood, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and productive learning experience for our students. You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality instruction, provide feedback, and support the development of our students' math skills. Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, using the Mathnasium Method? and our proprietary curriculum
• Participate in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, including our online platform and instructional tools
• Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery, using the Mathnasium Method?, terminology, and teaching practices
• Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, providing constructive feedback and support
• Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment, ensuring that our center is always welcoming and organized
• Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed, including administrative duties and special projects

Essential Qualifications

• A passion for math and working with students, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on their lives
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Exceptional math competency, with a strong understanding of math concepts through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively
• Willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method?, our curriculum, and our instructional practices
