About the Role

As a Supply Chain Data Analyst at Dollar Tree, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and analyzing supply chain data to inform business decisions. You'll work closely with our management team to develop actionable insights and recommendations that drive business value. This is a unique chance to apply your technical expertise and analytical mindset to drive the business forward and contribute to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management and Analysis: Manage the flow of information from various source systems through the supply chain SQL Server and into the Supply Chain DataMart, ensuring clean, harmonized, and accurate data.
  • Insight Generation and Recommendations: Determine best practices and develop actionable insights and recommendations for current business operations or issues.
  • Advanced Business Analysis: Perform advanced business analysis using various techniques, such as statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, and data mining.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal and external clients to understand available data elements and communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Data Governance and Partnership: Support the manager in associated governance and partnership with IT, ensuring seamless collaboration and data-driven decision-making.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize technical skills in SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Python, and other programming languages to analyze large volumes of data and build data models.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Technical Expertise: Expert knowledge of business intelligence reporting solutions (Tableau, Microstrategy, Business Objects, etc.) and enterprise data tools and technologies (Alteryx, SQL, SQL Server, etc.).
  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Strong knowledge of and experience working with data stores, analyzing large volumes of data using analytical tools, and building data models.
  • Statistical Knowledge: Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Project Management and Leadership: Experience initiating and driving enterprise-wide projects to completion, managing multiple requests, and maintaining a high level of responsiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:

  • Education: A Master's degree in a relevant field (Data Science, MIS, Engineering, etc.).
  • Experience: Project management, business, practice, and people development experience.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of analytics techniques and technologies (Statistical modeling, R, Python, etc.) and technical documentation.
