About the Customer Experience & Success Organization

The Customer Experience & Success organization is responsible for designing and implementing Microsoft's end-to-end customer experience strategy. Within CE&S, the Customer Service & Support (CSS) organization is dedicated to building trust and confidence with customers and partners by delivering seamless support experiences. As a member of the CSS team, you will be part of a geographically distributed group of talented professionals who share a passion for solving complex issues and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Support Engineering - Azure HPC expert, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building business relationships with key customer contacts and Technical Account Managers to enhance trust and deliver exceptional support experiences
  • Quickly identifying and resolving customer issues specific to Azure HPC Infrastructure or the Azure Platform
  • Collaborating with Engineering and HPC platform groups to resolve complex technical issues and improve customer outcomes
  • Developing tools and scripts to automate troubleshooting activities and improve support efficiency
  • Testing and vetting new technology in support of Azure HPC efforts and providing feedback to engineering teams
  • Contributing to internal and external documentation regarding HPC system software and internet directory services software
  • Embodying Microsoft's culture and values, including a growth mindset, innovation, and collaboration

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience
  • OR a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or a related field AND 3+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience
  • Experience supporting HPC in a Linux environment
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Microsoft Technology Certifications
  • Familiarity with HPC schedulers, MPI libraries, and programming
  • Experience administering Linux (boot process, file systems, network device, and protocol configuration)
  • Cloud Core Platform (Compute, Storage) experience
  • Familiarity with Security and OS Internals concepts (Linux and/or Windows)
  • Understanding of Virtualization concepts and virtual system administration
  • Managing HPC clusters on-premises or on Cloud
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related protocols, InfiniBand
