About the Role

As an Ambulatory Care Technician II, you'll play a vital role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, providing essential support to our medical providers and facilitating patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist providers with orthopedic procedures, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for patients.
  • Fulfill patient care responsibilities as requested by physicians or other clinicians in the office or clinic setting, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Perform clinical medical assisting responsibilities as required, utilizing your skills and knowledge to support our healthcare team.
  • Model appropriate behavior, adhering to the Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare Mission, Vision, and Values.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Technical Degree or Diploma in Medical Assisting.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from a recognized organization, such as AAMA, NCMA, NRCMA, or AMT.
  • HEART SAVER certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience working in an ambulatory care setting.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and practice management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
