As a member of the Payments and Digital Strategy team at blithequark, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our credit union's daily features, including check processing, object processing, direct bills, and budget transfers. You'll work closely with various departments, vendors, and institutions to resolve complex issues, answer member inquiries, and maintain strict compliance with NACHA regulations and federal banking guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

* Complete daily tasks related to check processing, object processing, direct bills, and budget transfers

  • Coordinate with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues and ensure timely processing
  • Assist various departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
  • Work member cases/assignments and follow established guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with NACHA regulations and federal banking guidelines
  • Process mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff exams
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
  • Log, review, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing
  • Obtain information from contributors for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
  • Research and verify incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
  • Communicate with vendors to facilitate budget transfers
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer regulations
  • Deposit check returns, review member re-exams on draft changes, process member exams, verify contributors for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
  • Complete daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

* Minimum Qualifications: + High school degree or GED + Intermediate Excel and Word experience

  • Preferred Qualifications:

+ Previous customer/member service experience + Previous banking or Credit Union experience + Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

* Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience or education and hands-on use of the software

  • Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs
  • Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits under high volume pressure
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
  • Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and contributors
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits

  • Must pass relevant blithequark and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams
