Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Elementary Tutor to work with a 4th-grade student in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of elementary education, a passion for transforming students, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles. Key Responsibilities

* Provide one-on-one tutoring and academic coaching to a 4th-grade student in Jersey City, NJ

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to improve reading comprehension, memorization, retention, and vocabulary development
• Build strong relationships with students and parents, and communicate effectively to ensure a positive learning experience
• Adapt to different learning styles and needs, and be flexible in your approach
• Utilize technology and resources to enhance the learning experience
• Collaborate with our team to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for our students and families

Essential Qualifications

* Minimum of 2 years teaching/tutoring experience required

• College graduates, upper-level college students, and professionals only
• Teaching credentials are a plus
• Great personality with the ability to build rapport with students and parents
• Strong computer skills and ability to create lesson plans
• Reliable transportation and access to the internet, a computer, and/or a smartphone

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with elementary school-aged students

• Knowledge of curriculum and educational standards
• Ability to speak multiple languages (a plus)
• Experience with technology integration and online learning platforms
