Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Remote Legal Transcriptionist to join our team of independent contractors. Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings with accuracy and attention to detail
• Process audio recordings while adhering to style guides and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all transcripts
• Work independently, managing time effectively and meeting deadlines
• Collaborate remotely with our in-office team to ensure seamless workflow and support
• Stay up-to-date with advanced transcription technologies and best practices in the field

Essential Qualifications

• Significant experience in legal transcription or court reporting, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent listening skills, with the ability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive)
• Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, with flexibility to set own schedule
• Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy
• Familiarity with legal terminology and documentation
• Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certification or degree in court reporting or legal transcription
• Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription
• Ability to collaborate remotely and work in a team environment
• Court reporting students will also be considered
