Job Overview

As a Member Service Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for answering and handling incoming calls from members, pharmacies, and doctors' offices. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional support and assistance to our callers, helping them navigate the process of getting the medicine they need. This is a full-time work-from-home position that offers a unique opportunity to build your customer service skills and knowledge in the healthcare industry. You will be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package on the first of the month after your start date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming calls or emails from members, pharmacies, and doctor's offices regarding requests for information on medication and benefits
  • Investigate and resolve member inquiries in a timely manner or escalate to the appropriate team member
  • Adhere to and reinforce blithequark's standard operating procedures and training guidelines, including those related to HIPAA
  • Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in every interaction
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in the healthcare industry

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
  • Dedicated, secure high-speed cable, DSL, or fiber internet connection (no wireless or 5G home internet connections)
  • A private, quiet, and distraction-free home workspace with a physically secure door
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime as needed
  • Ability to adhere to a pre-determined schedule, including planned rest and meal breaks

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Call center experience, particularly in the healthcare industry
  • Work-from-home (remote) experience
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Strong PC skills with the ability to navigate multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on professional demeanor and empathy
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
