Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and customers. You will be working in a remote data entry position, using our store systems to acquire patient and medication data, and processing prescriptions. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, handling customer complaints, and performing other administrative tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

* Provides exceptional customer service to patients and customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Registers customer purchases on assigned sales register, collects cash, and disburses change as needed
  • Processes voids, returns, delays, discounts, and trades as necessary
  • Maintains accurate records, including patient and medication data, and ensures that all information is up-to-date and accurate
  • Performs administrative tasks, including data entry, and maintains accurate records
  • Assists pharmacists in processing prescriptions, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
  • Reports any medication errors to the pharmacist on duty and follows blithequark's policies and procedures for handling medication errors
  • Handles customer calls, including those to doctors, and responds to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Processes manual claims for external program prescription services and performs other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Maintains accurate inventory records, including stock levels, and ensures that all stock is properly stored and secured
  • Assists with division of food items, including raw and pre-cooked foods, and maintains accurate records of stock levels
  • Provides customer support in the photo area, including digital identification photo services, banner printing, and other services
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the pharmacy director, staff pharmacist, or senior supervisor

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., pharmacy, healthcare, business)

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to respond to customer needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, customers, and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a retail or healthcare environment

  • Previous experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
  • Strong numerical skills, with the ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh medications
  • Strong computer skills, with the ability to use store systems and software
  • Knowledge of store stock control and inventory management
  • PTCB certification (or willingness to obtain)
