Reporting directly to the Vice Dean for Programs with a dotted line to the Executive Director of the Executive Partner Program, the Manager will ensure the successful recruitment, training and support of VEPs, enhancing the online learning experience and career development of students. The Manager will coordinate with online Faculty and support various components of the online course curriculum, including residency weekends. Job Description: The William & Mary Raymond A. Mason School of Business (MSOB) is seeking a dedicated and innovative Manager for the Virtual Executive Partner (VEP) Coaching & Mentoring Program. This role is crucial in providing strategic leadership and effective management of the Virtual Executive Partners who serve as coaches and mentors for online students across the school’s online program portfolio. Reporting directly to the Vice Dean for Programs with a dotted line to the Executive Director of the Executive Partner Program, the Manager will ensure the successful recruitment, training and support of VEPs, enhancing the online learning experience and career development of students. The Manager will coordinate with online Faculty and support various components of the online course curriculum, including residency weekends. Experience in higher education. Experience with online learning environments and proven experience with student engagement strategies. Job Duties: Recruitment, Training, and Management: In Coordination with the Vice Dean for Programs and Executive Director of the Executive Partner program direct the development of a strategy for the expansion of the Executive Partner program utilizing VEPs across the MSOB graduate programs. Collaborate with the Executive Director of the Executive Partner program to recruit, train, and support VEPs from the active Executive Partner membership roster and other groups such as alumni and external partners. Design and deliver training programs to equip VEP Coaches with essential coaching skills, role expectations, and program guidelines, based on existing Executive Partner Coaching guidelines framework. Maintain and update Coach/student activity guidelines to ensure clarity on schedules, deliverables, and responsibilities. Provide VEP Coaches with onboarding and training on remote learning platforms such as Zoom, Canvas, and Graduate Career Management Center software. Ensure all VEP Coaches are proficient in using the necessary technology to support student learning and mentorship. Program Coordination and Communication: Schedule and conduct regular VEP Coach meetings, providing updates, training, and debriefs on engagements. Communicate with VEPs via email, keeping them informed of academic schedules, deliverables, and expectations throughout the academic year. Develop and manage processes for tracking VEP Coach participation and engagement. Coordinate with online OMBA course faculty to develop activity guidelines, oversee curricular touch points and outcomes. Work closely with the Residential Executive Partner Coordinator to align best practices, training materials, and engagement strategies across both VEP and Residential Executive Partner programs. Coordinate efforts to ensure consistency in coaching and mentoring approaches for online and residential students. Share insights and feedback between Virtual and Residential Executive Partner programs and Executive Director, to enhance program effectiveness and student experience. Serve as a member of the Executive Partner Leadership Team Career Development Coordination: Collaborate with the Residential Executive Partner Liasson to the Graduate Career Management Center, Director of Career, Online, Online Student Success liaison to facilitate VEP Coaches’ involvement in career-related student activities. Oversee VEP -led career development activities and develop activity guidelines for mock interviews, resume reviews, career interest discussions, and networking events. Admissions & Student Engagement: Partner with Online Admissions to promote the VEP Coaching & Mentoring program to prospective students, reinforcing the benefits of joining W&M. Support VEP Coaches in aligning their mentorship efforts with student needs and career goals. Annual Salary: Up to $70,000, commensurate with experience.
