We are seeking an experienced Junior IS System Engineer - Endpoint to join our team of 500 and support our exciting journey. We value people and we’re building a culture to match. Job Summary The Junior IS System Engineer - Endpoint is a technical role responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the security and functionality of endpoint devices (like laptops, desktops, and mobile phones) within an organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring they are properly configured, patched, and protected against cyber threats, often working closely with security teams to maintain compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Endpoint Security Management:

  • Deploying and managing endpoint security software (antivirus, EDR, HIPS) across various operating systems.
  • Configuring security policies on endpoints to align with company security standards.
  • Monitoring endpoint activity for potential security threats and incidents.
  • Investigating and responding to security alerts generated from endpoint devices.

Patch Management:

  • Identifying and deploying critical software updates and patches to endpoints.
  • Managing patch cycles and ensuring timely application of updates.
  • Testing patches in controlled environments before deploying to production.

Hardware and Software Management:

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining endpoint hardware and operating systems.
  • Managing endpoint device lifecycle, including upgrades and replacements.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues on endpoint devices.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Developing and implementing scripts to automate repetitive endpoint management tasks.
  • Utilizing system management tools to streamline endpoint configuration and deployment.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensuring endpoint devices comply with relevant security regulations and industry standards.
  • Generating reports on endpoint security posture and compliance status.

Qualifications and Experience Technical Expertise:

  • 5 years of experience in an ITrelated field with at least 3 years’ experience managing desktop and Endpoints is required.
  • Comptia A+, Comptia Network + certifications preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency with endpoint security solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, Manage Engine Endpoint Central, PDQ, , Carbon Black, Microsoft Defender).
  • Knowledge of network protocols and security concepts.

Scripting and Automation:

  • Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
  • Familiarity with system management tools (e.g., Endpoint Central, Intune, MECM).

Problem-solving and Troubleshooting:

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to endpoint devices.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with security teams, IT support, and endusers.

Education/Certifications

  • Highschool Diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate’s degree in computer science or related degree preferred.
  • Technical certification preferred.

Travel Requirements

  • 5%

Physical Requirements

  • Overtime may be required in meeting project deadlines.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
