Essential Duties & Responsibilities: ● Lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team of product designers, UX researchers, and creative technologists in a fast-paced, high growth, dynamic, agile environment ● Have a specific and clear vision for a high performing, best-in-class Product Design and UX Research team, build the function to that vision, and continuously improve ● Drive collaboration and innovation, empowering the team to do their best work through coaching and mentorship ● Attract, hire, and retain top talent at all levels to develop a world-class organization ● Be opinionated and provide hands-on guidance and direction, while ensuring the teams are able to also identify opportunities and independently creative ● Oversee concept development, from ideation to execution, aligning with HQ and other cross-functional priorities ● Promote excellent design at Samsung and new ways of innovating to set the bar high ● Champion our mission at the executive levels of the organization ● Routinely deliver significant business impact to our internal and external customers Role and Responsibilities Background/Experience: ● Bachelor’s/master’s degree in design, HCI or equivalent with 15+ years’ experience ● 10+ years’ experience in leading and managing medium to large-sized multi-disciplinary UX teams ● B2B advertising software experience required ● Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining successful, influential working relationships at all levels of an organization ● Experience managing remote and distributed teams ● Comfortable with ambiguity and pivoting when needed ● Demonstrated experience driving change, being open to new possibilities, and focusing on business impact ● Demonstrated a history of balancing business requirements, technological capabilities, and user insights to deliver great products ● Demonstrated history of ensuring highly collaborate and iterative solution design across functions during product development ● Solid understanding of existing and emerging technologies, their boundaries, and how they apply in the context of consumer products ● Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and generate enthusiasm among senior stakeholders Skills and Qualifications Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Mountain View, CA, is expected to be between $280,000 ~ $300,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
