Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and performant backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, with a focus on data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Implement and optimize components of data pipelines to effectively move, process, and store large volumes of data, contributing to data quality and availability.
- Utilize Docker and Kubernetes to build, deploy, and manage containerized microservices, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and data pipeline issues, identifying root causes and contributing to solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with other engineers, product managers, and other team members to understand data requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Actively contribute to high standards of code quality, testability, and maintainability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in backend software development, with a focus on building or maintaining data pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing applications.
- Proven experience in implementing and optimizing components of data pipelines, demonstrating an understanding of data movement and processing.
- Proficiency in interacting with and integrating with various database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL databases).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail in debugging.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness for continuous learning and professional development.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with specific data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Exposure to data governance and data quality concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of microservices architecture patterns.
