Founded by consumer insight industry legend, Stan Sthanunathan, who headed Consumer Insights for Unilever, i-Genie is already working with Coca-Cola, Haleon, Bayer, AG1, Danone, L’Oreal, Unilever, and Kenvue, where over 1,500 employees gather i-Genie insights and query its data via LLM every week. i-Genie is a growing team of the most accomplished technologists and business minds in the retail and consumer insights industry and is growing rapidly with sales, engineering, data and marketing roles. Senior Account Executive Mission As our first dedicated Senior Account Executive for Consumer Insights, you will be the pioneering sales force for our cutting-edge consumer insights platform targeting CPG companies. Your mission is to drive revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and closing high-value accounts while establishing our platform as the go-to solution for consumer insights in the CPG industry, while helping to shape the evolution of our sales and marketing ops needs. Outcomes

  • Consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets ($1.5m ARR in year 1)
  • Secure 10 new enterprise-level clients within the first year
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities, establishing long-term relationships with key decision-makers
  • Facilitate successful account transition to the Client Success team to lead to > 150% net revenue retention at 12-month renewal
  • Provide valuable market feedback to inform product development, marketing strategies and sales operations

Required Experience

  • ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT: 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience selling into multiple CPG accounts at consumer insights agencies or tech companies like Ipsos, Kantar, Nielsen IQ, Circana, MetrixLab, etc. We will also consider candidates that have sold social listening platforms like Brandwatch / Netbase / Talkwalker / Sprinklr
  • Experience selling consumer insights directly to CPG companies with a robust rolodex of decision makers
  • Understand deeply how clients use consumer insight technologies across R&D, Sales, Marketing and Insight teams
  • Experience with selling SaaS a plus
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and expanding accounts into 7-figure revenues
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex sales cycles and close enterprise-level deals
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market research, and data analytics

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret consumer data and translate insights into value propositions for clients
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales productivity tools
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time for client meetings and industry events (although currently sales travel is less than 10%)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Self-starter able to execute as the first hire in a sales organization, knowing when to get support from executives and technical counterparts to close deals
  • Adaptability to evolve sales strategies based on market feedback and company goals
