Experienced Chat Moderator – Remote Community Management and Moderation Specialist

Job Description

As a Chat Moderator at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of our online community on our official Discord server. This is a part-time, remote position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of like-minded individuals. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Moderating chat conversations to ensure that users adhere to our community guidelines and rules
• Deleting messages that violate our community standards
• Banning users who repeatedly break our rules
• Muting users who have violated our community guidelines
• Investigating reports made by users about potential rule violations
• Collaborating with our team to develop and implement community engagement strategies
• Providing excellent customer service and support to our members

Pay and Benefits

• A competitive hourly rate of $12.50 per hour
• A weekly pay cycle, with payments made every Monday

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• To be at least 18 years old
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Familiarity with Discord and online community management tools
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experience would be a plus:

• Previous experience as a moderator or community manager
• Knowledge of community guidelines and moderation best practices
• Familiarity with online safety and security protocols
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
