Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our ground staff, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers, ensuring a seamless travel experience from check-in to boarding. Key Responsibilities:

* Provide friendly and personalized service to all internal and external customers, ensuring a positive experience at every touchpoint

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve our organization's goals and objectives
  • Offer exceptional customer service to individuals traveling, using baggage or cargo services, by addressing their needs and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Handle all aspects of check-in and baggage processing using our modernized retail location system, including boarding, baggage claim, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues
  • Greet and assist customers in a courteous and friendly manner, handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets
  • Process transactions, make change, and balance daily exchanges, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Inspect and verify baggage and cargo, answering phone calls to provide information to guests, paging customers, resolving issues or complaints, and assisting as needed
  • Manage oversold, delayed, or cancelled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, and resolve such issues quickly and in accordance with our organization's established rules and procedures
  • Provide current and accurate information on flight schedules, reservations, flight departures/arrivals, and answer general inquiries from customers and other airport guests
  • Complete forms and reports as required by our organization
  • Write incident and complaint reports as necessary
  • Perform other work duties as directed by supervisors

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Ability to type or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the needs of the job
  • Ability to understand records, follow guidelines, learn and comprehend tagging systems, rules, and regulations
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful circumstances
  • Ability to complete the Customer Service Representative training program with an 80% or higher average and pass the assessment period
  • Familiarity with hazardous situations and ability to handle crises on a case-by-case basis
  • Ability to work under close time constraints to achieve quick turnaround of aircraft
  • Ability to maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Service Representative Handbook and Work Standards
  • Ability to perform all job duties within a confined space
  • Ability to communicate verbally by phone, in person, and on public address systems effectively
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate information and directions verbally or via radio equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of airline operations and procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience with computerized systems and software applications
