Job Summary

As a Remote Medical Customer Service Specialist – part time, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families while navigating the complexities of the healthcare revenue cycle. You'll work closely with our team to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide support in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

* Review and identify issues from calls into the telephony system in a timely manner (50%)

• Maintain a working knowledge of workflow systems to properly assign follow-up dates, department requests, and notate appropriately (10%)
• Ensure all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately while providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines (10%)
• Perform payment transactions and request payment from accounts reflecting a balance (10%)
• Assist with clerical duties as needed, such as email, facsimile, etc. (10%)
• Requires close supervision and guidance from the supervisor (10%)

Essential Qualifications

* 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in workflow systems and software applications
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

• Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
• Certification in medical billing or coding (e.g., CPC, CMC)
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS)
