About the Role
We're seeking an Experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team at arenaflex. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines that support our business operations. You'll work closely with our data scientists, engineers, and product managers to ensure that our data pipelines are scalable, efficient, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and Python
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy data models and machine learning algorithms
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
- Design and implement data governance and quality control processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data requirements and develop solutions to meet business needs
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and scripts to streamline data processing and delivery
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of data pipelines
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL pipeline development and support
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience working with Snowflake and PostgreSQL
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
- Strong understanding of data governance and quality control principles
- Experience working with version control systems, such as GitLab or GitHub
- Experience with containerization using Docker
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
- Proficiency in cloud design and product development, ideally with AWS
- Experience managing and delivering code using a source control system
- Experience using data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
