We are seeking an experienced Director Data Science to lead our Global Data Strategy group and drive innovation in data analytics and reporting.
About the Role
The Director Data Science will lead the Global Data Strategy group in Risk Finance, responsible for developing and implementing centralized reporting capabilities, process enhancements, and automation. The primary goal is to provide strong forecasts and analytics to support business decisions across the Risk Finance organization. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Senior Management, Risk Management, local Finance, and business groups to provide credit-associated selection aid and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance
- Own precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and become a subject matter expert of the applicable tools (troubleshoot issues, reconcile results, identify enhancements and automation possibilities, and train other customers to drive adoption)
- Develop and maintain preferred and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; provide credit-associated analytical support
- Develop and present key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management
- Build and maintain relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.
- Provide selection-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions
Required Qualifications
* Advanced experience working with a combination of the following is required: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1
- Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint required
- Experience in ML modeling is a plus
- Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions
- Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines
- Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes
- A strong work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals
- Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint required
- Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly + bonus + equity (if relevant) + benefits. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
