The lecturer position is non-tenure track with a 10-month renewable contract. Candidates with a sustained record of excellent teaching and scholarship of teaching may be considered for appointment at the level of Senior Lecturer. Candidates should be able to teach courses across the Neuroscience and Psychology curricula including, but not limited to Exploring the Brain, Foundations of Neuroscience, Systems Neuroscience, Behavioral Neuroscience, Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience, Perception, and Motivation. The teaching load for this position is 8 courses per academic year. In addition to teaching, lecturers develop and design curricula, supervise graduate student teaching assistants, and engage in service in support of the university's teaching mission. Only candidates with a Ph.D. in Psychology or Neuroscience will be considered (ABDs will be considered if their Ph.D. will be completed before the start date). The Department of Psychology has 19 full-time faculty, 700+ undergraduate majors, and approximately 65 graduate students enrolled in programs in Industrial/Organizational (M.S.), Applied Social and Organizational Psychology (Ph.D.), Clinical (Ph.D.), and Addiction Neuroscience (Ph.D.).
