We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to support our Machine Learning Applications team. In this role, youll be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines that underpin our simulation technologies. Your work will be essential to enabling high-quality data flow and preparation for advanced analytical and machine learning tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Build high-performance solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and export to support simulation and modeling workflows.
  • Design and manage clean, modular APIs and interfaces for core data operations.

  • Work closely with Data Scientists to understand and support their requirements for data access, transformation, and simulation inputs.

  • Partner with Engineers to integrate data components into complete systems and APIs.

  • Contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking team environment focused on improving simulation models and data capabilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer, ideally in a context involving data science or machine learning.
  • Educational background in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

  • Strong coding proficiency in Python, especially for data-related applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to write efficient, scalable code for handling large-scale tabular data.

  • Solid experience in data modeling and working with both structured and unstructured datasets.

  • Familiarity with key Python libraries like Pandas and NumPy.

  • Good understanding of data lakes and cloud-based data platforms.

  • Bonus points for experience with large-scale data processing tools (e.g., Spark, Delta Lake, Dask, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Athena, Presto).

  • A sharp eye for detail and a preference for clean, simple, and reliable solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
