JOB TITLE: Manager, Quality Engineering

JOB LOCATION: REMOTE EMPLOYMENT IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION. POSITION REPORTS TO BURLINGTON, MA OFFICE.

HOURS: Full-time

REQUIRED DUTIES

  1. Manage a team of Quality Engineers.
  2. Define the technical strategy for automation tooling and infrastructure and work across Engineering to implement this.
  3. Collaborate with Dev in all aspects of the automation development process from requirement gathering through iterative develop-and-test cycles.
  4. Support continuous improvement processes, analyzing problems and recommending actions for effective resolution.
  5. Help coordinate technical leadership within Development, Quality, Operations and Release Management teams to enable effective automation.
  6. Be a change agent and drive a DevOps mindset of CI, CD and full automation within the product development teams.
  7. Enforce software engineering best practices and work with the Engineering Management team to forecast, plan, and drive team productivity.
  8. Influence and cultivate innovation within Engineering groups.
  9. Collaborate with global team of engineers across a number of regional development centers.
  10. Implement, collect, analyze and report team and project metrics which demonstrate business value and show continuous improvement.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science or a closely related field (foreign equivalent is acceptable) plus 6 years of employment experience working in a software development environment. 

Employment experience must include:

  • Demonstrated technical QA lead experience.
  • Demonstrated employment experience in both UI test automation tools (Cypress, Selenium, or similar) and API testing (using SoapUI, RestAssured, or similar).
  • Demonstrated employment experience with performance testing (Jmeter, K6, or similar).
  • Demonstrated employment experience with Continuous Integration environments, tools and automation to streamline QA processes (Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, Bamboo, or similar) 
  • Demonstrated employment experience with enterprise architecture and SOA best practices. 
  • Demonstrated employment experience with SDLC practices of Agile (Lean, Scrum, XP or similar).
  • Demonstrated employment experience with Object Oriented languages (Java, C#, C++ or similar) 
  • Demonstrated employment experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL or similar)
