Job title: Teaching Assistant - Elementary (non-Special Education position) Company: Independent School District 196 Job description: 1. Strong affinity for students; celebrating and accommodating the differences each student brings to Eastview High School. 2. Strong interpersonal skills in working with K-5 grade students. 3. Proficient knowledge in classroom policies and procedures. 4. Outstanding communication skills. 5. Excellent observation and analytical skills. 6. Skills in problem solving and conflict resolution with 9-12 grade students. 7. Strong ability to supervise small groups of students during academic activities. 8. Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred. Responsibilities: 1. Work with students in small groups with learning intervention strategies. 2. Assess student needs and construct strategies that aid students with achieving academic success. 3. Communication with parents. 4. Assist in classroom management. 4. Other duties as assigned by principal. Responsible To: Building Principal Compensation: Wage Group V - According to contractual agreement.
