About the role As a Cloud Engineer at Rogo, you will help build out our Microsoft Azure infrastructure. You will help support deployments for some of the largest banking and asset managers in the world, leveraging Azure services, Kubernetes, and our platform to empower financial knowledge workers. It's cutting edge cloud engineering at the AI frontier.
Responsibilities
- Design and Implement Azure Cloud Architectures: Develop scalable, secure, and efficient cloud systems using Azure, Kubernetes, and AI technologies. Collaborate closely with the CTO to manage and optimize the partnership with Microsoft, aiming to feature Rogo on Azure's Marketplace.
- Deploy and Manage Azure Solutions: Lead the deployment and ongoing support of Rogo's platform for major financial institutions. Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of services.
- Ensure Security and Compliance: Design and implement robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data. Work closely with the security team to achieve compliance with industry standards and best practices, ensuring a secure environment for Gen AI applications.
- Develop High-Quality Code: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code. Focus on building systems that are resilient and scalable, adhering to best practices in software development.
- Foster Innovation and Excellence: Drive continuous improvement in code quality, system performance, and development processes. Encourage a culture of innovation and collaboration, mentoring peers and contributing to the growth of the engineering team.
Hard Requirements:
- 4+ years of industry experience as a cloud Azure Engineer.
- 4+ years of experinece working with Kubernetes, Terraform, Crossplane
- Deep understanding of Azure components and be well versed with the Azure well architected framework and can apply those principles while designing a solution.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work with fluid requirements and shape them in collaboration with other team members
- Strong Networking experience is a plus
- Experience with AWS or other cloud environment
Bonus Requirements:
- Experience with a strongly typed language (e.g., Rust)
- Some knowledge of AWS and GCP services
- Experience at a hypergrowth startup
- Financial Services work experience
- Azure Architect or Developer certification is a plus
- Knowledge of Datadog and other Telemetry tooling
