Legal Data, AI, & Discovery - Part Time Independent Contractor
Part-Time Independent Contractor Opportunity – AI- Assisted Discovery & Litigation Analysis (Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Attorney) We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented independent contractor assist with managing and analyzing large volumes of discovery, using e-discovery software, and leveraging AI tools to accelerate discovery. This role is ideal for a legal assistant, paralegal, contract attorney, or other experienced legal professional who enjoys working with large datasets, identifying key evidence, and leveraging AI tools to streamline discovery.
What You'll Do
You will work with large volumes of emails, documents, financial records, and other evidence to help our litigation team efficiently identify key facts, organize evidence, and prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial. Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and analyzing large datasets and discovery productions
- Utilizing AI-assisted discovery platforms, including Relativity aiR and Cimplifi (training available for the right candidate)
- Collaborating with attorneys to develop and refine AI prompts and review criteria
- Conducting substantive document review, relevance coding, issue tagging, and privilege identification
- Auditing and validating AI-generated summaries, rationales, and coding decisions
- Identifying key evidence and creating organized exhibit sets
- Developing detailed chronologies and timelines from documentary evidence
- Assisting with case strategy by synthesizing complex information into clear, usable work product
Ideal Qualifications
- Legal assistant, paralegal, contract attorney, or other experienced legal professional
- Experience with document review, litigation support, e-discovery, or records analysis
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability
- Comfortable learning and utilizing AI tools and emerging legal technology
- Experience with Relativity aiR, Relativity, Cimplifi, or similar platforms is a plus
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), generative AI, natural language processing (NLP), or machine-learning-based review tools is desirable
- Family law experience is helpful but not required

- Initial training and onboarding may be conducted in person in the Seattle area
