Job Description Responsibilities: Walk dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments safely and confidently Provide care for cats and small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, etc.) Feed, provide fresh water, administer basic oral medications (if needed), and clean up after pets Handle leash reactivity, pulling, multi-dog walks, and unexpected behavior safely Follow detailed care instructions and respect client homes Work independently and make sound decisions in the moment—support may not always be immediately available Communicate clearly with clients and the Brisco’s Buddies team using our mobile app (photos, updates, time logs) Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns promptly Maintain a calm, kind, and patient attitude—especially under pressure Be available and willing to work major holidays, Requirements: Prior professional or personal experience in animal care Availability for evening and weekend shifts, including holidays Comfortable working independently with limited supervision Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license Smartphone with app capability for scheduling and communication Strong time management and follow-through—punctuality is a must Ability to work in all weather conditions and handle physically active shifts Must be 18+ and legally able to work in the U.S. Bonus Skills (Not Required): Experience with senior pets, reactive dogs, or exotic animals Pet CPR or First Aid Certification Background in animal shelters, rescues, or veterinary assistance Required qualifications:

  • Prior professional or personal experience in animal care
  • Availability for evening and weekend shifts, including holidays
  • Comfortable working independently with limited supervision
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Smartphone with app capability for scheduling and communication
  • Strong time management and follow-through—punctuality is a must

Desired qualifications:
