This is a remote‑first position based out of Oklahoma City, offering a competitive hourly rate of $24 and a full‑time schedule of 8 hours per day.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will:

• Architect and Manage Enterprise Storage Environments: Design, deploy, and maintain SAN, NAS, and DAS solutions that meet performance, capacity, and availability requirements.
• Implement Storage Security Policies: Apply industry‑best practices for data encryption, access controls, and compliance frameworks to protect sensitive information.
• Monitor and Optimize Performance: Use monitoring tools to track storage health, identify bottlenecks, and proactively tune systems for optimal throughput.
• Collaborate Across Technical Teams: Work closely with application, database, server, and network engineers to ensure storage solutions align with overall architecture and business goals.
• Develop and Enforce Capacity Planning Strategies: Forecast growth, conduct regular capacity assessments, and recommend upgrades or migrations to prevent resource constraints.
• Document Processes and Procedures: Produce clear, concise documentation for routine tasks, emergency response, and project implementations.
• Provide Tier‑2 Support: Troubleshoot complex storage incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate remediation efforts with vendors.
• Lead Upgrade and Patch Management: Schedule and execute firmware updates, patches, and security fixes to maintain system integrity.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery Planning: Design and test backup/recovery strategies, ensuring data can be restored quickly and accurately.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience with enterprise storage administration, focusing on systems administration and storage architectures.
• Proven expertise in large‑scale SAN design and implementation, preferably with Dell EMC, Cisco, or comparable OEM solutions.
• Strong understanding of storage networking protocols such as iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, CIFS/SMB, and object storage (S3).
• Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere) and how storage integrates with virtual environments.
• Solid grasp of data protection technologies, including snapshots, replication, and backup solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation and convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Certifications such as Dell EMC Proven Professional, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP, or CompTIA Storage+.
