Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction & Service Excellence

  • Greet every customer with a warm, genuine smile and a proactive “How can I help you today?”
  • Assist shoppers in locating products, answering product‑related questions, and providing recommendations that enhance their shopping experience.
  • Handle customer concerns promptly, escalating complex issues to the shift supervisor while maintaining a calm and solution‑focused demeanor.
  • Promote arenaflex’s service standards—such as proactive assistance, attentive listening, and follow‑through—to ensure each interaction feels personalized and valued.

Checkout Operations & Transaction Accuracy

  • Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system efficiently, scanning items, processing cash, credit, and digital payments, and issuing accurate change.
  • Execute transaction types including voids, returns, exchanges, discounts, and special promotions in accordance with arenaflex policies.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer, perform end‑of‑shift reconciliations, and report any discrepancies immediately.
  • Adhere strictly to age‑restricted product regulations (e.g., alcohol, tobacco) and ensure proper identification checks are performed.

Merchandising, Stock Management & Store Upkeep

  • Keep checkout lanes, aisles, and the overall store environment clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
  • Participate in inventory cycles, receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and rotating products using FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) principles.
  • Assist with planogram execution, promotional displays, and seasonal merchandising to drive sales and enhance visual appeal.
  • Support the back‑room and front‑of‑store teams in maintaining a safe, orderly, and compliant store environment.

Pharmacy & Photo Services Support (Where Applicable)

  • Provide courteous assistance in the photo department, including operating photo printers, handling custom orders, and guiding customers through product selections.
  • Support pharmacy customers with basic inquiries, prescription drop‑off, and over‑the‑counter medication guidance, always deferring to licensed pharmacists for clinical advice.
  • Process online orders for photo and pharmacy services, ensuring timely pick‑up and accurate fulfillment.

Compliance, Safety & Loss Prevention

  • Follow all corporate policies, state and local regulations, and loss‑prevention procedures to safeguard assets and protect customer data.
  • Report suspicious activity, potential theft, or safety hazards to management promptly.
  • Participate in regular training sessions on compliance, safety, and customer service best practices.

Essential Qualifications
