Role Overview

As a Senior Data Analyst – Information Productization you will lead the end‑to‑end journey of turning raw retail data into polished, business‑ready solutions. Working closely with the Product Management, Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams, you will design and execute analytical frameworks, develop data pipelines, and deliver visual storytelling that helps internal and external partners make data‑informed decisions at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities that inform product strategy and market positioning.
  • Clean, normalize, and enrich large‑scale data sets (tens of billions of rows) using SQL, Python, and modern data‑wrangling techniques.
  • Design and implement reproducible data pipelines that transform raw feeds into structured, query‑ready tables for downstream analytics.
  • Develop predictive and prescriptive models that solve concrete business problems such as demand forecasting, pricing optimization, and customer segmentation.
  • Produce clear, compelling dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, translating complex findings into actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product owners to define data‑driven product requirements, prioritize feature backlogs, and validate solution impact post‑launch.
  • Partner with data engineers, UX designers, and senior leadership to ensure analytical solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with corporate governance.
  • Champion data quality initiatives by establishing validation rules, monitoring data health, and driving continuous improvement across the data lifecycle.
  • Advise on ethical considerations related to data usage, privacy, and security, ensuring compliance with global regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Mentor junior analysts, share best practices, and contribute to a culture of curiosity, rigor, and collaboration.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in data analysis, preferably within retail, e‑commerce, or financial services.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn) for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and model development.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and communicate results to senior leadership.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and familiarity with ETL tools.
  • Strong track record of delivering visual analytics using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Self‑starter attitude, comfortable navigating ambiguous problems and adapting quickly to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in a quantitative discipline.
