This role blends visionary leadership, data‑driven insight, and hands‑on coaching to ensure that our merchant portfolio—representing over $5 billion in arenaflex charge volume and more than 400 brand relationships—continues to expand and prosper.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth & Share Expansion: Design and execute strategies that increase arenaflex revenue, improve market share, and boost profitability across both B2B and B2C merchant segments.
  • Strategic Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse portfolio of 400+ merchant accounts, ensuring deep, mutually beneficial relationships that align with arenaflex’s long‑term objectives.
  • Insight‑Driven Solutions: Deliver innovative, data‑backed insights and tailored solutions that address merchant challenges, enhance their performance, and reinforce arenaflex’s value proposition.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of payment‑industry trends, competitive dynamics, and economic indicators to proactively adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders—including product, marketing, risk, and operations—to develop joint assets and campaigns that resonate with merchant needs.
  • Sales Modeling & Coaching: Model best‑in‑class sales behaviors, balance deal execution with skill development, and provide ongoing feedback to elevate team performance.
  • Enterprise‑Level Merchant Satisfaction: Champion an enterprise approach that maximizes merchant satisfaction, loyalty, and long‑term profitability.

Essential Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in client management, merchant services, or payments, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing large, complex portfolios (>$5 billion in charge volume) and delivering measurable revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and retain high‑performing teams in a remote or hybrid environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and merchant insights.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, capable of building trust with senior executives at merchant organizations.
  • Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including emerging technologies, regulatory considerations, and competitive landscapes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within the Southern California market or similar high‑density merchant environments.
  • Background in fintech, digital payments, or related technology sectors.
  • Certification in project management (PMP) or sales methodology (e.g., Challenger, SPIN).
  • Fluency in Spanish or another language commonly spoken in the region.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and launching merchant‑focused marketing or partnership programs.

  • Coaching & Development: Passion for nurturing talent, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a growth mindset.
  • Customer‑Centric Thinking: Deep empathy for merchant challenges and a relentless focus on delivering value.
  • Data Literacy: Proficiency with analytics tools, dashboards, and KPI tracking to inform decisions.
