As a Product Data Scientist, you will partner closely with Product Managers, UX Researchers, Engineers, and cross-functional leaders across the entire product development lifecycle. Your insights will directly influence the design, evaluation, and continuous improvement of products enjoyed by a global user base.

Key Responsibilities

As a Product Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will own critical analytical workstreams that drive product strategy, business decisions, and user experience improvements. Your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Define, Own, and Refine Product Success Metrics: Collaborate with Product Management, UX, and Engineering teams to design and continuously evolve a comprehensive metric framework that connects product features to business outcomes and long-term value creation.
  • Monitor, Report, and Elevate Core KPIs: Track, document, and communicate the health of key product metrics. Provide thoughtful, data-driven recommendations to improve performance and inform executive-level decision-making.
  • Quantify Business Impact: Identify critical product functionalities, analyze their business influence, and develop causal analyses to measure the true impact of product changes, launches, and feature rollouts.
  • Drive Experimentation Strategy: Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and controlled experiments to measure the causal effects of product modifications. Build frameworks that allow arenaflex to learn rapidly and iterate confidently.
  • Bridge Data and Engineering: Partner with Engineering teams to identify and address instrumentation gaps, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection for high-value user journeys and revenue-generating product flows.
  • Influence Product Strategy: Work alongside Product, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to influence, prioritize, and advocate for data-informed product roadmaps and strategic initiatives.
  • Apply Technical Expertise: Leverage observational data analysis, causal inference, and statistical techniques to answer critical business questions and surface hidden patterns within large-scale datasets.
  • Democratize Data Access: Build intuitive dashboards, scalable reporting tools, and self-service analytics solutions that empower stakeholders across arenaflex to make confident, data-driven decisions.
  • Communicate Insights Effectively: Deliver clear, compelling presentations of data-driven findings and recommendations to audiences ranging from technical peers to executive leadership.
  • Shape the Future of Learning Products: Help define new product experiences and develop innovative methodologies for evaluating content quality, user satisfaction, and the overall learning journey.

Minimum Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Professional Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in analytics applications, including extracting insights, conducting statistical analyses, and solving business problems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated coding experience in at least one of the following: Python, R, or SQL, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and build reproducible analyses.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who bring the following skills and experiences will be given priority consideration:

  • Experience with experimental design, hypothesis testing, information exploration, survey design, and statistical modeling.
  • Background in consulting, management reporting, Six Sigma certification, or other structured analytical environments.
  • Proven ability to apply statistical training to real-world, messy data and produce defensible, actionable insights.
  • Track record of completing projects independently while thriving in cross-functional, collaborative team settings.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear business narratives.
