Role Overview

The Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse & Analytics is a senior leadership position that blends strategic vision with hands‑on execution. Reporting directly to the Executive Leadership team, you will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of adversarial abuse detection, mitigation, and analytics across the arenaflex platform. This role is fully remote, offering a flexible work‑from‑home arrangement with a competitive hourly rate of $24. You will lead cross‑functional teams, influence product roadmaps, and partner with global stakeholders to protect users from malicious activity while driving actionable insights from massive data sets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Adversarial Abuse team responsible for identifying, investigating, and neutralizing threats such as account takeovers, spam, fraudulent engagement, and emerging AI‑generated abuse patterns.
  • Oversee the Analytics function that quantifies abuse impact, builds dashboards, and delivers transparent reports to internal partners and external regulators.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to embed safety signals into core platform features and new product launches.
  • Develop and execute rapid‑response playbooks for high‑severity incidents, ensuring 24/7 coverage across time zones.
  • Drive the creation of data pipelines, machine‑learning models, and rule‑based systems that scale to millions of daily interactions.
  • Mentor and grow a diverse team of analysts, data scientists, and operational specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
  • Represent arenaflex in industry forums, regulatory discussions, and public safety initiatives, positioning the company as a leader in responsible content moderation.
  • Manage budgetary responsibilities, vendor relationships, and strategic partnerships that enhance the effectiveness of abuse detection tools.
  • Ensure compliance with global privacy regulations while balancing the need for actionable intelligence.
  • Participate in on‑call rotations, including occasional weekend shifts, to maintain uninterrupted protection for the community.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience leading risk, safety, or abuse‑mitigation initiatives at scale.
  • Proven track record of building and delivering data‑driven solutions that influence product and policy decisions.
  • Experience managing cross‑functional teams that operate in fast‑paced, high‑impact environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, capable of influencing senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekend on‑call duties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Machine Learning, or Computational Social Science.
  • Experience analyzing large‑scale datasets (billions of rows) and uncovering subtle abuse patterns.
  • Background in adversarial research, security, or a demonstrated interest in combating malicious online behavior.
  • Proficiency with SQL, R, Python, or MATLAB for data extraction, statistical analysis, and model development.
  • Hands‑on experience with machine‑learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and feature engineering for abuse detection.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical solutions to strategic objectives and revenue impact.
  • Track record of publishing or presenting research on online safety, misinformation, or related topics.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to set vision, prioritize initiatives, and drive execution across global teams.
  • Data Engineering & Analytics: Expertise in building robust data pipelines, dashboards, and predictive models.
  • Risk Assessment: Skilled at evaluating emerging threats, quantifying impact, and recommending mitigations.

  • Access to cutting‑edge AI research labs and internal data science resources.
