This is not a typical data entry role. While accurate data management is a core component of the position, you will also be involved in requirements gathering, systems testing, stakeholder communication, and process improvement initiatives. Team Placement Opportunities

Group Stage QMO – Quality Management Office

Although the Quality Management Office operates within the broader Technology space, its primary focus is on the application side of operations. This team is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of the applications used daily by our frontline Teams. The applications maintained and tested by this group are part of the mission-critical suite required for daily operations. Without rigorous quality assurance, issues in production could arise, potentially impacting service delivery and customer experience.

As an Understudy assigned to this team, your daily work will involve collaborating closely with Scrum Masters, Engineers, and Product Owners to test applications as changes are being developed. You will also contribute to metrics generation, helping to showcase progress and keep leadership informed about testing outcomes and quality trends. Customer and Business – Southwest Adventures (SWAV)

The Adventures Team at arenaflex is at the forefront of creating innovative, revenue-generating products that extend beyond our core service offerings. This is a fast-paced, highly focused enterprise initiative where team members gain exposure to both the core business and adjacent industries. Working with this team, you will develop a deep understanding of how customer-facing products are conceptualized, built, and scaled in a competitive marketplace.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

As an Innovation Investigator Understudy at arenaflex, your responsibilities will vary depending on your assigned team, but may include the following:

  • Data Entry and Record Management: Accurately input, update, and maintain data across various systems and platforms, ensuring all records are organized, complete, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Requirements Analysis: Work directly with business users to conduct thorough requirements analysis related to systems, business processes, and operational workflows. Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications.
  • Solution Alignment: Ensure that proposed solutions align with internal tooling, established business procedures, and departmental standards. Contribute to the design of quality technical solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Project Coordination: Manage timelines for planning, development, testing, and execution to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget. Track milestones and communicate progress to team leads and stakeholders.
  • Cross-Team Communication: Act as a liaison to facilitate effective communication between business units and Technology Teams. Help bridge gaps in understanding and ensure alignment on priorities, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Systems and Acceptance Testing: Participate in systems testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities. Document test cases, report defects, and validate that solutions meet specified requirements before deployment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency within your assigned team.
  • Ad Hoc Support: Provide general support to your assigned team on a variety of projects and initiatives. The scope of work will vary depending on team needs and organizational priorities.

Essential Skills, Abilities, Knowledge, and Work Style

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. You will use these tools daily for documentation, data analysis, and presentation creation.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and verbal communication abilities are essential. You must be able to articulate ideas clearly and professionally in both written and spoken formats.

  • Agile Methodology Exposure: Prior exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks) is preferred but not required.
  • Project Management Fundamentals: Basic understanding of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Prior Internship Experience: Previous internship or investigative work experience within the past 12 months is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Experience: Experience solving business problems through capstone projects, case competitions, or similar academic or extracurricular activities is highly valued.
