Senior Agile Coach

Worldwide Salaried Open

Senior Agile Coach Location: Remote (US) | Type: Contract | Experience: 5+ years

About the Role

You'll coach multiple product teams toward genuinely better ways of working, not just running ceremonies but shaping how agile actually lives across the organization. The job is part facilitator, part mentor, part change agent, and you'll spend your time leveling up Scrum Masters, aligning teams around a shared cadence, and helping leadership see where delivery is healthy and where it's stuck. This is for a crafts-based digital product studio that designs and ships custom software embedded with emerging AI models, often for operationally complex, traditionally underserved industries. As the studio scales delivery across more squads, they need someone who can bring real structure to how those teams plan, sync, and ship together. If you've led agile adoption in places where it stuck because the work got better, not because a framework got mandated, you'll feel at home here.

What You'll Do

  • Coach multiple product teams on agile practices, from team-level execution up to cross-team planning and delivery
  • Scale agile ways of working using SAFe, keeping squads aligned around a shared planning cadence and clear dependencies
  • Mentor and develop Scrum Masters and product owners so the practice gets stronger without you in every room
  • Run program-level planning and sync points, and keep cross-team dependencies from stalling delivery
  • Establish the delivery metrics that matter, then coach teams to act on them rather than report on them
  • Partner with engineering and product leadership to spot systemic blockers and actually resolve them
  • Drive a continuous-improvement culture that teams buy into, since this role runs fully remote
  • Tailor the framework to fit the teams and the work, not the other way around

Qualifications

Must Have

  • A current SAFe certification (SPC, SA, or equivalent)
  • 5+ years coaching agile teams, including experience scaling agile across multiple teams or an Agile Release Train

Core Experience

  • A track record of agile transformation that improved real delivery outcomes, not just process compliance
  • Experience coaching in a product studio, consultancy, or fast-moving software delivery environment
  • Strong command of agile tooling and the delivery metrics that signal team health
  • Comfort mentoring Scrum Masters and product owners, not just facilitating
  • Calm, credible communication with engineers, designers, product leaders, and executives
  • Proven ability to keep fully remote teams aligned across time zones

Why Join Us

You'd be joining a team that treats software as a craft and holds a high bar for the work, with senior people who care about getting it right. The culture is collaborative and low-ego, and the pace is fast without tipping into chaos. This is a contract role, but you'll have real influence over how delivery works across the studio, and the teams are the kind you'll want to keep working with.
