Why This Role Matters

In the Platform Services & Operations group of Core OS, the Workflow Systems Analyst is the catalyst that transforms raw data into actionable insight, enabling engineering teams to deliver high‑quality software at unprecedented speed. By designing, building, and scaling workflow tooling, you will empower cross‑functional teams to make data‑driven decisions, accelerate release cycles, and maintain the gold standard of user experience that arenaflex users expect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards that visualize critical performance metrics, track progress toward strategic goals, and surface trends in real time.
  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Conduct deep‑dive analyses to uncover patterns, diagnose issues, and recommend actionable improvements across the software delivery pipeline.
  • Iterative Design Process: Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product owners to gather feedback, refine visualizations, and continuously enhance the usability of analytical tools.
  • Workflow Mapping: Document current state workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose streamlined processes that align with best‑in‑class engineering practices.
  • Change Management: Act as a change agent by translating analytical insights into concrete operational improvements, driving adoption across multiple teams.
  • Metrics Definition & Governance: Define, track, and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) such as DORA metrics, CI/CD health, and LEAN flow efficiency.
  • Cross‑Team Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and quality assurance groups to ensure data integrity, consistency, and relevance across all reporting layers.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior analysts on best practices in data visualization, SQL querying, and storytelling with data.

Essential Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst.
  • Strong foundation in analytics concepts, including descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data sets into clear, strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Advanced Tableau development skills, including calculated fields, parameters, and performance optimization.
  • Expertise in SQL: writing aggregation queries, nested sub‑queries, and performing data validation at scale.
  • B.S. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with software delivery analytics such as CI/CD pipeline health, DORA metrics, and LEAN flow principles.
  • Hands‑on experience with software development processes, including build pipelines, merge‑request reviews, and code deployment automation.
  • Product ownership experience: accountability for end‑to‑end impact of analytics initiatives, from conception through delivery.
  • Project management expertise: ability to plan, prioritize, and drive multi‑team initiatives toward a unified objective.
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment, demonstrating strong self‑management and communication skills.

Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to think critically, ask probing questions, and uncover root causes.
  • Storytelling with Data: Craft compelling narratives that make technical insights accessible to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and influence across engineering, product, and leadership teams.
  • Technical Agility: Comfort with modern data stack tools (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt) and scripting languages such as Python or R.
  • Attention to Detail: Rigorous approach to data quality, validation, and reproducibility.
  • Continuous Learning: Proactive pursuit of new analytical techniques, visualization trends, and industry best practices.
