Key Responsibilities

Guest Interaction & Service Excellence

  • Assist guests in locating products, answering questions, and providing recommendations that meet their needs.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly, turning potential challenges into positive experiences.

Transaction Management

  • Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system accurately, processing cash, credit, and electronic payments.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, voids, discounts, and special promotions in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and securely.

Merchandising & Stock Management

  • Keep aisles, shelves, and checkout counters clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
  • Perform inventory checks, receive shipments, and restock merchandise using FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) principles.
  • Execute planograms, promotional displays, and seasonal merchandising initiatives to maximize sales.
  • Assist with the rotation of perishable items, ensuring food safety and compliance with health regulations.

Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere to state and local regulations governing the sale of age‑restricted items such as alcohol and tobacco.
  • Follow arenaflex’s loss‑prevention procedures to minimize shrinkage and protect store assets.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and reporting hazards immediately.

Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with fellow associates and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Participate in training sessions, store meetings, and performance reviews to continuously enhance skills.
  • Contribute ideas for improving processes, customer service, and store presentation.
  • Complete assigned projects and special tasks as directed by management.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
