About arenaflex

arenaflex is a global leader in the aviation industry, renowned for pioneering innovative travel solutions and delivering world‑class service to millions of passengers each year. Our mission is to redefine the future of flight by blending cutting‑edge technology with a relentless focus on customer delight. As a forward‑thinking, technology‑driven organization, arenaflex empowers its employees to work from anywhere while contributing to a dynamic, fast‑moving environment that values creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Why This Role Is Unique

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can bridge the gap between exceptional customer experience and robust web‑development expertise. In this hybrid role, you will not only support our remote customer service operations but also play a pivotal part in designing, building, and maintaining scalable web applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS). If you thrive in a fast‑paced, agile setting and enjoy solving complex technical challenges while keeping the customer at the heart of every decision, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for remote customers, delivering prompt, courteous, and solution‑focused assistance via phone, email, and chat.
  • Identify recurring customer pain points and collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop proactive solutions.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions in our CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on arenaflex’s service standards, policies, and emerging industry trends.
  • Contribute to the creation of knowledge‑base articles, FAQs, and self‑service resources that empower customers to resolve issues independently.

Technical Development & Operations (TechOps)

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications and services on AWS, leveraging EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, and other core services.
  • Build proof‑of‑concept (PoC) and minimum viable product (MVP) prototypes to validate new architectures and feature ideas.
  • Write clean, well‑documented code in modern web frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or Django, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Implement containerization strategies using Docker and orchestrate workloads with Kubernetes to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers on best‑practice coding standards.
  • Apply Agile development methodologies, participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives to deliver incremental value.
  • Debug and troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including product management, UX design, and security—to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging AWS services, cloud‑native technologies, and industry trends to continuously improve the platform’s performance and security posture.

Essential Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in web development, with a strong command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one server‑side framework (Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or Django).
  • Cloud Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront; familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform) is a plus.
  • Containerization Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to build, deploy, and manage Docker containers and orchestrate them using Kubernetes.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Problem‑Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a track record of diagnosing complex software defects and delivering effective solutions.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to work effectively in remote, cross‑functional teams.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding service experiences, with an understanding of privacy and data protection principles.
  • Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the United States, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the airline or travel industry, especially within a technology‑focused role.
  • Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems design.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, including regular releases and iterative development.
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience in a remote work environment.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Stack: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Ruby on Rails / Node.js / Django, RESTful APIs, SQL, NoSQL databases.
  • Cloud Services: Amazon EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, IAM, VPC, Lambda (preferred).
  • Container & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
