[Remote] Business Development Manager - Outside Sales

WG Henschen, an Abound Aerospace Company, is a trusted name in aerospace fastener distribution seeking a Business Development Manager for Outside Sales. The role involves managing a portfolio of aerospace accounts, driving sales, and developing strategic partnerships with key customers while working cross-functionally with internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of aerospace accounts, acting as the primary relationship holder for key customers
- Drive fastener and hardware sales to meet and exceed annual revenue targets — with year-over-year pipeline growth
- Develop strategic roadmaps with customers for product upgrades, expansions, and long-term partnerships
- Translate customer needs into internal action — working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams
- Conduct product demos, training sessions, and technical presentations that help customers get maximum value
- Present regular performance reviews and KPIs to stakeholders, including SLA adherence and project milestones
Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in the fastener industry, preferably in a customer-facing or account management role
- Proven track record in OEM or Tier 1 sales environments
- Strong communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language
- Skilled negotiator and relationship builder — you close deals and keep customers coming back
- Comfortable with CRM and customer reporting tools; organized and data-driven in managing your pipeline
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Able to travel for customer site visits as needed (air or car)
- Remote flexibility — Midwest or East Coast based preferred
