[Remote] Financial Reporting & Accounting Policy Consultant

They are seeking an experienced financial reporting & accounting policy professional for a temporary role with a publicly traded financial services client, primarily responsible for preparing SEC reports and advising on accounting policies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of the annual Form 10-K and quarterly Form 10-Q reports with the SEC
- Oversee the preparation of several non-SEC statutory and regulatory financial reports to be filed with U.S. federal agencies, states and government sponsored entities
- Maintain and recommend updates to significant accounting policies
- Advise on the accounting and reporting for new transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Oversee the maintenance & documentation of internal controls that are Sarbanes-Oxley compliant
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- 10+ years of relevant financial reporting & accounting policy experience required
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license, or equivalent required
- Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Working knowledge in Oracle Fusion and Workiva Wdesk is a plus

- Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.
