[Remote] Senior AI Engineer

They are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to develop production-grade automations and AI-assisted workflows that enhance healthcare administration efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Shadow operations teams directly to identify high-leverage automation opportunities
- Build workflow automations, backend services, integrations, APIs, and internal tools
- Design AI-assisted and agentic systems for complex healthcare operations
- Translate business rules, edge cases, compliance requirements, and operational exceptions into maintainable software
- Reimagine workflows from first principles rather than simply automating broken processes
- Iterate quickly based on operator feedback, measurable impact, and changing business needs
- Partner closely with product, engineering, operations, strategy, and executive stakeholders
Skills
- Experience working with HIPAA-compliant data or regulated healthcare data
- Experience across backend, fullstack, platform, workflow-heavy, or automation-heavy engineering
- Strong TypeScript and Postgres experience
- Ability to build production-ready services, integrations, APIs, schemas, and workflow systems
- A strong understanding of data sensitivity, security, and operational constraints in healthcare
- A track record of shipping real AI automations, agentic workflows, or AI-enabled internal systems
- Strong judgment around what belongs in prototype vs. production
- Comfort gathering requirements directly from non-technical users
- Startup-caliber ownership, speed, curiosity, and agency
