Deployment Strategist (DS) & Senior Deployment Strategist (Sr. DS)

Worldwide Salaried Open

Deployment Strategist (DS) & Senior Deployment Strategist (Sr. DS) About MelodyArc MelodyArc is building the orchestration layer for enterprise service work — where rules, people, and AI collaborate to get complex operations done reliably at scale. Our orchestration core (the Point Engine) enables teams to configure agentic AI Operators that execute work end-to-end while leveraging existing business logic and human-in-the-loop workflows. Learn More. Role Overview As a Deployment Strategist, you are the owner of the customer's outcome. You take a signed customer from kickoff through a production deployment that is live, adopted, and demonstrably delivering value — and you own everything non-engineering required to get there. You are the "product manager for the field" paired with client single point of contact: you define what gets built and why, you relentlessly manage scope and timeline, and you drive the engagement to a successful landing in production. This is a delivery-first role. You will spend most of your time defining process and use cases, scoping deployments, authoring the requirements that guide the build, running the engagement as a hands-on project owner, acting as the primary QA tester for the customer's solution, driving adoption after launch, and communicating financial ROI. You partner with our Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs), who own the how — the deep technical build — while you own the what, the why, and the path to a landed outcome. Our best Deployment Strategists are unusually resourceful operators who combine strategic business experience in large organizations, product-style thinking, executive communication, and a "whatever it takes to ship" mindset. You are comfortable in a customer's data and workflows, you can read and configure aspects of the Point Engine, but are not expected to build production software. You know exactly when to pull in an FDE. How This Role Relates to the Forward Deployed Engineering The Deployment Strategist and the Forward Deployed Engineer are partners on every engagement. The split is deliberate: Deployment Strategist owns the problem--sometimes even supporting the proof of concept build pre-sign--the requirements, scope, timeline, stakeholder management, QA, and adoption. The DS is technical enough to configure the platform, write basic queries, map data, and validate solutions hands-on — but does not own the production codebase. Forward Deployed Engineer owns the technical build: custom integrations, complex configuration, and production-grade engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end delivery of customer deployments — from kickoff through a live, adopted, value-proven production solution — as the single accountable owner of the outcome. Scope each deployment: define the minimum viable solution, success criteria, milestones, and timeline, and translate the customer's business problem into a clear requirements document (PRD) that guides the FDE build team. Run the engagement as a hands-on project owner: prioritize the backlog, manage scope relentlessly, sequence milestones, and drive day-to-day execution alongside FDEs. Act as the primary QA tester for the customer's solution — validate that what is built actually solves the problem before it reaches the customer. Configure the MelodyArc platform directly where appropriate (workflow configuration, data mapping, queries, light scripting) and know when to hand deeper technical work to an FDE. Manage all stakeholder communication, from frontline operators to senior sponsors, and act as the escalation owner who unblocks technical, political, and process issues. Own the launch: run the go-live, manage the cutover, and drive the solution from launch to full adoption by capturing user feedback, iterating, and proving the defined business value. Scope the ongoing support and maintenance plan, create customer-facing documentation and enablement, and ensure a clean handoff to steady-state. Partner with Sales and Account teams on discovery and value scoping for new and expansion opportunities, drawing on your trusted-advisor relationship with the customer. Basic Qualifications 4+ years (DS) or 7+ years (Sr. DS) of client-facing delivery experience in roles such as deployment strategy, technical program/project management, solutions/implementation consulting, or product management at a technology company or top-tier consultancy. Demonstrated ownership of complex projects end-to-end: scoping, sequencing milestones, managing scope, and shipping to production or launch. Strong product and systems thinking: able to translate an ambiguous business problem into clear requirements, success criteria, and a prioritized plan. Technical fluency: comfortable working hands-on in data and workflow tooling — reading and writing SQL, mapping data, configuring software, and validating solutions — without requiring an engineer for routine tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication, with the executive presence to build trust and drive decisions with senior stakeholders. A relentless, hands-on execution mentality — willing to do the unglamorous work required to land a deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience deploying enterprise software, data, or AI/ML solutions into production at named accounts. Experience writing PRDs and running an agile delivery process with an engineering team. Experience with value-based scoping (ROI) and quantifying business outcomes for senior stakeholders. Familiarity with customer service operations, contact-center workflows, or business-process operations. Comfort with light scripting, APIs, and integration concepts (enough to scope and validate, not to build production systems). Prior experience in a "founder," "builder," or early-team capacity at a high-growth startup. Location Remote (United States). Some travel to customer sites may be required. Apply To This Job
