[Remote] Cerner HIM Trainer / Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Gigology System & Software, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cerner HIM Trainer/Consultant with expertise in Health Information Management workflows and Cerner HIM applications. The role involves delivering training, supporting HIM operations, and providing functional expertise across Cerner HIM solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs related to Health Information Management (HIM) processes and Cerner applications
- Conduct onboarding, refresher, and role-based training sessions for healthcare staff and HIM users
- Provide hands-on support and guidance on HIM workflows, medical record management, and documentation standards
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with Compliance, Quality, HIM Operations, and IT teams to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
- Maintain training documentation, knowledge repositories, and training reports
- Identify skill gaps and recommend process improvements and training initiatives
- Support audit activities, quality improvement programs, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Assist with Cerner HIM application configuration, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization
Skills
- Prior experience working with Cerner HIM solutions in a healthcare environment
- Strong understanding of Health Information Management processes and workflows
- Experience with build, configuration, and support of the following Cerner HIM modules: RRD, EMPI, Access HIM / Profile HIM, CPDI, Patient Portal, Clinical Reporting
- Knowledge of EHR/EMR systems, medical terminology, coding standards, and HIPAA regulations
- Previous training, instructional design, or end-user education experience preferred
