As An English Instructor, You Will Guide small groups of students in mastering their English core skills, fostering deep understanding and achieving top scores in college readiness exams like the ACT & SAT. Monitor your students' progress through our unique multi-phase curriculum, providing personalized support and opportunities for growth. Demonstrate professionalism and strong organizational skills by maintaining timely communication with students, updating lesson schedules, and ensuring accountability. Lead the development and implementation of dynamic lesson plans and curriculum enhancements. Serve as a mentor to middle and high school students, offering empathy and guidance through the increasingly competitive college application process.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in a humanities field such as English, Creative Writing, Journalism, or Publishing (Master's or higher preferred). Minimum of 1 year teaching experience in English or working in a college-level Writing Center. GPA of 3.5 or higher. Excellent verbal communication skills and mastery of the English language. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G Suite. Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
